Inquiries in Macedonia by an Athenian correspondent provided the information that the find originally included about 500 coins, of which one-quarter to onethird were Athenian. The fdc Aesillas coins appearing in numerous European and American sales catalogues from 1961 on undoubtedly came from Siderokastro
