- Note: The quarter-shekel with male hd. is described by Ferri as being a negro hd. The coin is, however, form the issue ascribed to Hannibal in Spain (Essays Mattingly, pl. 3, 7n); it weighs 1.74 gm., and is more worn than the majority of quarter-shekels in this hd.
